Save the date — we’re repeating Fall on the Farm — fingers crossed for equally delightful weather!
Yes, there are still farms in Prince George’s County. This will be a casual picnic-style afternoon of fellowship at MFRW President Sharon Carrick’s home. Friends and family are welcome too.
September 21st is the astronomical September equinox (Latin for “equal night”), marking the end of Summer and the beginning of Fall (Autumn). It is the point at which the sun stands directly above the equator, making day and night equal in time.
The autumn equinox is a time of gratitude for the bountiful harvest the earth has bestowed upon us. To celebrate this, we gather those we care about and partake in a sumptuous feast.
