Red Scarf Day is our time to visit the Legislature, hear from our Elected Officials, enjoy a delicious lunch, and display our Republican Women’s Pride. We wear our scarves in unity as a symbol of our conservative beliefs.

Tuesday, February 24th
8:30 am Attend either Senate or House Republican Caucus meeting
– James Senate Office Building, 11 Bladen St., Room 422
– Lowe House Office Building, 6 Bladen St., Room 142
(Bladen St is across from Lawyers Mall in front of the State House.) For parking info, please go to:
9:45 am Enter State House – allow time for security – photo ID required
9:50 am Meet in the main lobby of the State House for a group photo
10:00 am Attend legislative session – choose either Senate or House gallery
11:00 am – 12:45 pm Brunch with Republican legislators – Calvert House on State Circle
1:00 pm Tour for MFRW members of the State House and historic chambers. Meet at the information desk in the State House basement.
12:30 – 3:30 pm Visit legislators (make appointments in advance)
1:00 – 3:00 pm Attend legislative hearing of your choice OR
1:00 – 2:00 pm “Nothing to Hide” – How to find pertinent information about the General Assembly’s actions in the privacy of your home. Presentation by the staff of Minority Whip Kathy Szeliga.
Free to MFRW members who have paid 2015 dues; $15 for everyone else (may pay at the brunch with check made out to MFRW).
